Jason Huttons stockcar history
Hi I’m Jason Hutton, It all started with doing a few derbys which were fun but after a while felt the need to be more involved in racing, Was planning on getting into streetstocks when a mate said he had found a stockcar. Off we went had a look and dragged it home. Not knowing what or how to do anything with it we tracked down the Gizzy stockcar rep and with his help and advice (Cheers Squeaky 8G) managed to get a Falcon 200 motor and box fitted to the car and off I went into my first season in a stockcar.
I learnt a lot in that old girl (what works, what doesn’t and how much fun it was to hit things)

1st car 94 to 97
After much fun in the old car thought it was time I upgraded, At around that time was told of a chassis sitting in a yard in town so after digging it out from under a pile of scrap steel it was loaded on a trailer then of to Squeaky’s place to find the front bumper off it.(Some one had cut the front bumper off and squeaky had it sitting at his house).Once home the bumper was grafted back from where it came a roll cage built, diff and front end fitted then finally an engine and box thrown into it and of we went into another season. This was a big improvement on the old car and also leant a lot more in this girl. I even managed to be part of the Eastland Eagles stockcar team which I would rate as one of the biggest highlights of my time racing.Won some club trophy’s in this car, most improved stockcar driver and the stirrers trophy 3 times.

2nd car 97/02
My 3rd car was self built, using all the knowledge I had learnt from the first 2 cars, looking at others and including a lot of my own ideas I started building her.She is a spacey of my own design powered by a 3.9 EA (some real power at last).Won my first race in 9 years of racing which was a buzz but still think I prefer to be a stirrer than a flag racer. It proved to be a very strong car and was impressed how strong after I sold it to Nicky Gallop 444M and heard about the thrashing he give it.
